AI Trust Filter for iOS and iPadOS · Developer: Patricia (Kat) Luttrell · Effective September 10, 2026 · Website section added October 3, 2026

The short version
  • These statements describe the app. This website logs visits for metrics — see “This website” below.
  • All detection runs on your device. Nothing you browse, scan, or paste is sent to us or to any third party.
  • No account, no login, no ads, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no in-app purchases.
  • The Safari extension can only see pages on sites where you grant it permission in Safari's settings.
  • The app asks for no system permissions — no camera, photo library, microphone, or location access.

Information we do not collect

AI Trust Filter does not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, contacts, location, browsing history, the pages you visit, the images or text it analyzes, its results, device identifiers, or usage analytics. There is no server run by us and no account.

What the Safari extension can see

To blur likely-AI content, the extension reads the images and text on the pages you visit in Safari. Safari controls where it may do this: it only runs on sites you have allowed in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → AI Trust Filter. Analysis happens inside Safari on your device, using local rules. Nothing about the page, its content, or the result leaves your device, and nothing is kept once you navigate away.

One detail, stated plainly: for larger images, the extension may request the image a second time from the same website that already served it, so it can read the file's metadata. That request goes to the site you are already on, carries no cookies or identifiers, and is capped in size. It never goes to us or to anyone else, and you can turn it off in the extension's options.

The Scan tab and your Library

The app's Scan tab lets you check a photo, video, or pasted text you choose. Items are analyzed on your device, and the results — along with a small thumbnail of what you scanned — are saved in a Library stored only on your device so you can revisit them. The app never uploads them. You can export, import, or clear the Library at any time from within the app, and deleting the app removes it entirely.

Settings stored on your device

Your preferences — whether the filter is on, whether images and text are blurred, your sensitivity level, and whether the Facebook connection is enabled — are stored locally by Safari and the app. They never leave your device.

Accuracy, honestly

No detector, this one included, can prove that content is AI-generated. A blur is a lead worth a second look, not a verdict. We don't collect any data to "improve" detection, because we don't collect any data at all.

Children

AI Trust Filter is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

This website

This section is about the web pages you are reading now, not the AI Trust Filter app. The app's behavior is exactly as described above.

When a page on this website is opened, one visit record is sent to the developer for site metrics. It contains the time, the page, the referring site, browser type, device class (mobile or desktop), language, time zone, screen size, an anonymous random identifier kept in your browser's local storage so repeat visits can be counted, and your approximate location — city, region, and country — looked up from your network address by a third-party service (geojs.io). Your network address itself is not stored in the visit record, your device's GPS is never requested, and no name, email, or account is involved. The record is delivered to a private workspace channel (Slack) that only the developer can read. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, nothing is logged. You can also block scripts for this site or clear this site's data in your browser to remove the identifier. The hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) may keep standard server logs as any website host does.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes what the app does with data, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
