Privacy Policy
- These statements describe the app. This website logs visits for metrics — see “This website” below.
- Doom Destroyer never connects to the internet. No account, no cloud, no sync, no server, no analytics.
- Your routine, history, creature and settings live in a database inside the app on your iPhone and nowhere else.
- Permissions it may ask for, all optional: notifications (reminders) and motion (only during a Focus Sprint, only if you turn it on).
- Photos you attach to a task are copied into the app's own storage. The app never browses your photo library.
- The one optional Supporter purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see payment details.
Information we do not collect
Doom Destroyer does not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. The app contains no networking code and no third-party software development kits. Nothing you enter can leave your phone through it.
Your routine and history
Rooms, tasks, step lists, completions, the creature's name and crumbs, visitors seen, and your settings are saved in a database inside Doom Destroyer's own storage on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or backed up by us. If you use iCloud Backup or Finder backups for your phone, this data is included in those like any other app data, under Apple's own privacy terms.
Reminders
If you allow notifications, Doom Destroyer schedules local notifications on your phone for tasks that are Ready, within the daily cap you set. They are created entirely on the device. There is no push server, and nothing about when you snooze or set a task aside is recorded or shown. Turn reminders off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.
Movement during a Focus Sprint
If you turn on Notice when I'm moving, iOS asks for motion permission and the app reads the accelerometer only while a sprint you started is running. The readings are used on the phone to show a short encouraging line and are discarded immediately. No step counts, distances or history are kept, and nothing is stored or transmitted.
Finished-state photos
You can attach a photo to a task to show what "done" looks like. Doom Destroyer uses Apple's system photo picker, which lets you choose a single image without giving the app access to your photo library. The chosen image is copied into the app's local database and is removed when you remove it from the task or delete the app.
The Supporter purchase
The optional one-time Supporter purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. Apple handles payment and sends the app only a confirmation that the purchase exists. We never receive your name, payment method or billing details. Apple's privacy policy covers that transaction.
Deleting your data
Archive or delete tasks and rooms from the Routine tab. To erase everything, delete the app. That removes the routine, history, creature, photos and settings completely.
Children
Doom Destroyer collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
This website
This section is about the web pages you are reading now, not the Doom Destroyer app. The app's behavior is exactly as described above.
When a page on this website is opened, one visit record is sent to the developer for site metrics. It contains the time, the page, the referring site, browser type, device class (mobile or desktop), language, time zone, screen size, an anonymous random identifier kept in your browser's local storage so repeat visits can be counted, and your approximate location — city, region, and country — looked up from your network address by a third-party service (geojs.io). Your network address itself is not stored in the visit record, your device's GPS is never requested, and no name, email, or account is involved. The record is delivered to a private workspace channel (Slack) that only the developer can read. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, nothing is logged. You can also block scripts for this site or clear this site's data in your browser to remove the identifier. The hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) may keep standard server logs as any website host does.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what Doom Destroyer does with data, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
