How do I get my fridge's shopping list into FreshKeeper?
In the SmartHQ app, open your fridge's shopping list, then use Share (or select all and copy). In FreshKeeper, go to the More tab, paste into the box, and tap Import list. Bullets, numbering, and quantities like "2x Milk" are all handled. FreshKeeper never asks for your SmartHQ login — the list comes over through SmartHQ's own share button.
How do reminders work — and why didn't I get one?
There's one optional reminder a day, at 9 AM, listing what needs eating in the next couple of days. Turn it on in the More tab; iOS will ask you to allow notifications. If you said no, the toggle stays off — allow FreshKeeper in iOS Settings → Notifications and try again. Nothing else is ever sent.
An expiry date is wrong. How do I fix it?
Tap the item to expand it. You'll see two dates: Expires on (use the package date) and Bought / cooked on, which recounts freshness from that day. Imported items start with an estimate, so adjusting them is expected.
How do I remove something?
Tap the item, then Ate it or Tossed. It leaves your list and counts toward the month's stats.
Does it work offline? Does it sync?
It works completely offline — FreshKeeper makes no internet requests and the recipes are built in. It doesn't sync between devices; your list lives only on this iPhone.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything is stored in one file on your phone. No account, no cloud, no analytics. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I erase everything?
Delete the app. That removes the list, history, and settings. (Individual items can be removed with Ate it / Tossed.)
The text is small. Can I make it bigger?
Turn on Easy-read mode in the More tab for larger text throughout. iOS Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size also applies.
Is FreshKeeper made by GE?
No. FreshKeeper is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by GE Appliances. GE, GE Profile, and SmartHQ are trademarks of their owners, mentioned only to describe compatibility.
