Privacy Policy
- These statements describe the app. This website logs visits for metrics — see “This website” below.
- SimuCert never connects to the internet. All study content ships inside the app.
- There is no server and no account. "Profiles" are local to your device.
- No ads, no tracking, no analytics, no third-party SDKs, no in-app purchases.
- It asks for no system permissions.
- Nothing you type or achieve leaves your device.
Information we do not collect
SimuCert does not collect, store, or transmit your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or usage analytics. The app contains no networking code; there is nothing for it to send and nowhere for it to send it.
Local profiles — what "sign in" means here
When you start, SimuCert asks for a name so it can keep your progress, and optionally an email or phone number. Both are saved only on your device and are never transmitted. Because there is no server, the sign-in "verification code" is generated on your device and shown to you on screen — it's a local profile switcher, not an account, and it can't send messages. You can leave the contact field blank; it isn't needed for anything.
Your progress
XP, coins, streaks, badges, stage and boss-exam scores, lab and challenge results, and a short recent-activity history are stored in the app's local storage on your device under your profile. If you add a profile picture, it's reduced to a small image and stored the same way. None of this is uploaded, synced, or backed up by us. (If you use iCloud or computer backups for your device, app data is included in those under Apple's terms.)
Sharing your progress
The Share buttons build a short message about your level, rank, badges, and XP and open it in Safari for you to post on X, Facebook, or LinkedIn. That happens only when you tap Share, the message contains no personal details, and SimuCert itself sends nothing.
Deleting your data
Reset all progress on your profile screen clears XP, coins, streaks, badges, and scores, but keeps the profile's name and contact so you can start over under the same name. To remove everything, including profiles, delete the app.
Children
SimuCert is a study tool for professional certification exams and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
Trademarks
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, IBM, Anthropic, OpenAI, and the certification names in the app are trademarks of their respective owners. SimuCert is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
This website
This section is about the web pages you are reading now, not the SimuCert app. The app's behavior is exactly as described above.
When a page on this website is opened, one visit record is sent to the developer for site metrics. It contains the time, the page, the referring site, browser type, device class (mobile or desktop), language, time zone, screen size, an anonymous random identifier kept in your browser's local storage so repeat visits can be counted, and your approximate location — city, region, and country — looked up from your network address by a third-party service (geojs.io). Your network address itself is not stored in the visit record, your device's GPS is never requested, and no name, email, or account is involved. The record is delivered to a private workspace channel (Slack) that only the developer can read. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, nothing is logged. You can also block scripts for this site or clear this site's data in your browser to remove the identifier. The hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) may keep standard server logs as any website host does.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what SimuCert does with data, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change.
